WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) exterior wall panels are durable and easy to install. Below is a simplified step-by-step guide with key tips.
Tools: Measuring tape, laser level, fine-tooth saw, drill, rubber mallet, safety gear (gloves, goggles, dust mask) Materials: WPC panels, battens, stainless steel fasteners, corner trims, silicone sealant
Ensure the wall is dry, flat (≤3mm/2m), and clean. Install at ≥10°C. Mark panel positions.
Fix battens to the wall (expansion bolts for concrete/brick, screws for wood) at 300–600mm spacing. Keep them level.
Cut panels to size (decorative side down) with a fine-tooth saw. Leave 5–10mm expansion gaps at all edges.
1. Start from a corner; align with chalk line and level. 2. Fix to battens (hidden clips recommended, or exposed screws with pilot holes). Screw spacing ≤500mm. 3. Slide next panel’s tongue into the previous groove (30–45° angle), press down, and tap gently with a rubber mallet. Leave 3–5mm between panels. 4. Cut panels for windows/doors; use corner trims for corners.
Install edge trims, fill gaps with weather-resistant silicone sealant, and inspect for loose panels or misalignment.
Use stainless steel fasteners; ensure ventilation between battens; do not over-tighten screws; stagger joints for large walls.
