What precautions should be taken when using outdoor WPC Decking during the rainy season?

Ensure Good Drainage

Clear debris from deck gaps and drains regularly to prevent water pooling. Standing water may cause board expansion or mold.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Use only mild soap or neutral cleaners for stains. Do not use bleach, acid or alkaline detergents—they damage the protective surface.

Gentle Cleaning Only
Clean with a soft-bristle brush or low-pressure water (≤1200 PSI). Do not use high-pressure washers or abrasive tools.
Prevent Mold & Mildew
Wipe away wet leaves, dirt or organic matter quickly. For shaded areas, use diluted vinegar or tea tree oil monthly.
Furniture & Object Care
Place non-slip pads under furniture legs to avoid scratches. Do not cover deck with non-breathable mats—traps moisture.
Check Expansion Gaps
Ensure proper expansion gaps (3–5mm) between boards. Gaps prevent warping when WPC absorbs moisture.
